MONDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE

Class: Sexy Hip Hop
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 26th May

Have fun letting loose and connecting to your body with ClockworkManda's sensual choreography. This casual 8 week course is a safe space for you to feel free of inhibitions and to forget about whatever's happening outside the studio. While focusing on feeling good in your own skin and using this time for self care, we’ll be learning a new routine each week, in a fun and judgement-free atmosphere. At the end of the term we will discuss our favourites to put together for learning in Term 4 for The Carnival Showcase!
So let's release our sass, harness our inner divas and channel our cheekiness!.... With a side serving of gangsta energy, of course.
Students to bring water bottle, wear comfortable clothing to move in, and be prepared to do some floorwork occasionally throughout the term.
TUESDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE
When: 6:30-7:30pm

Class: Playful Pillow Fight
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 27th May
All Levels
Price: $180 Term or $30 per class for casuals
Sleep with one eye open, gripping your pillow tight, because you don't want to miss out on this after midnight soiree. When the everyone else is asleep these cheeky beauties slip back out of bed, pillow in hand, to join in a mischievous dance in the dark. Think sexy slumber party fantasy vibes meets a burlesque glamour twist. With a playful slither, and a sly come hither, take my hand, we're off to never-never land
Suits: Beginner friendly, moderately paced choreo includes some basic floor work at the start of the routine
Costume: Nightie/negligee/fancy pyjamas, nude or nude illusion undergarments based on personal comfort level, sleep mask, slippers
Prop: Boa, pillowcase
(Lydia prefers tulle/vegan boas and has a couple to lend in class if needed)

Class: Ritual Candle Dance
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 27th May
All Levels
Price: $180 Term or $30 per class for casuals
Mysterious, slinky, illuminated by the flickering light of a candle. Immerse yourself in the ebb and flow of this ritualistic inspired routine of self worship and connectivity. This choreography focuses on slow but impactful movements, encourages careful listening for musical cues, and contrasts between stillness and flowing moments. Lydia has previously taught this routine for the very first Grim Christmas but is bringing it back renewed.
Suitable for: Slow and sultry choreography with no floor work, beginners/open level
Costume: Half circle skirt, matching fabric scarf, dark undergarments
Prop: LED candle to be organised in class

WEDNESDAY
When: 6:00-7:30pm

Class: Dragula’s Cheer Squad
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 28th May
All Levels
Price: $180 Term or $30 per class for casuals
Who ever said cheerleaders couldn’t be a little dark?! Join Tink on a Thursday for some high energy leg kicking fun, learning a dynamic cheerleading routine to one of Tink’s Rob Zombie favorites! This course will also cover making your own pom poms (included in the fee).
Suitable for all levels.
What to bring: Flat runners, a water bottle & towel

Class: Floor & Chair Tech
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 28th May
All Levels
Price: $180 Term or $30 per class for casuals
Whether you’re one for rolling on the floor, or an adventure top bar chair flier, this Tech Term will give you something new to master!
We will be covering floorplay tricks and transitions on the floor, and how some of these tricks can be easily transferred onto our acro chairs!
Each week we will be covering skills on both the floor and chair, plus learning conditioning and strength building along the way.
Suitable for all levels - please note, this is a floorplay/acro chair class and not a floorwork class. We will be working on rolls, shoulder stands, pikes, legwork and more.
Please wear long leggings and covered shoulder and back T-Shirts plus bring your yoga mat, knee pads, platform heels (recommend Hella Heels or Pleasers) and your water bottles.
Spare chairs will be available to borrow.
THURSDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE

Class: Feather Fan Mastery
Class Dates: 4 consecutive weeks commencing 29th May
All Levels
Price: $100 Term or $30 per class for casuals

With a love of feathery fan goodness in common, let’s take your skills to new heights during this 4 week Masterclass for feather fan tech!
We’ll be covering transitions, grip changes, spins, weaves, windmills, reels and more!
A select few fan pairs are available for use during the classes – be sure to check availability before booking in.
This is not a routine class. You will learn tech and combinations during the term to then use to build on for yourself.
Some feather fan sets are available for use in class. Please email/message Tink to confirm availability before booking.

Class: Silk Veil Fan Tech
Class Dates: 4 consecutive weeks commencing 26th June
All Levels
Price: $100 Term or $30 per class for casuals
(or get the 8 weeks for $180 (feather + silk terms)
Join Tink for technique sessions on the art of silk veil fans. Each class we will be learning new tricks and combinations for manipulating our flowy friends to create interest and the appearance of easiness to the tricks.
Suitable for all levels.Tricks will include open and closed grip, turns, direction changes, weaves, windmills, folds & more!
A number of fans are available to borrow in class, please let us know when booking if you need to use them!

Class: In the Spotlight
Class Dates: 4 consecutive weeks commencing 29th May
All Levels
Price:$140 for 4 week term - no casuals
Step into the Spotlight and debut a new solo or refine an existing act in this 4 week solo intensive course.
Join Tink this term with 'In The Spotlight' a solo development class aimed at performers wanting to take their performances further or prepare for upcoming competitions.
With Tink’s background in classical dance training, fireplay, sideshow, theatre, production, makeup and a variety of other skillsets, they are able to assist a wider variety of styles for performance.
If you are unsure, please get in touch. We want to make this process as pleasurable as possible for you. Creating should be fun!
Opportunity to film your act in studio ready to submit for shows or competitions AND the opportunity to perform your creation at The Vaudeville Carnival – May 17!

Class: Fire Eating Sessions
Class Dates: 4 consecutive weeks commencing 26th June
Price: $165 for 4 week term - no casuals
Looking to learn the art of Fireplay or looking to increase your fire skills? Learn from Brisbane’s fiery fairy themself!
Sanctioned Fire Queen by Satan’s Angel, Tink has been performing and training in the art of fire fusion with burlesque and dance for over 8 years.
The course will include Fire Eating, live & dead wick pulls, transfers, fleshing & building combinations for fire performance.
Fuel & apparatus use is included in the course.
*This is not a performance/routine learning class
PRIVATE LESSONS:
All of The Vaudeville Consortium Teachers are available for you to book for one-on-one coaching tailored to suit your needs! Whether you are wanting to work on an existing act to take it to the next level, begin a new routine or simply wish to hone down on some set skills, our teachers have you covered.
Private Lessons start at just $100 per hour in studio and require booking through TVC - contact us for more info or to arrange with a tutor of your choosing.
Fire performance/privates for all levels and various apparatus are also available upon request.

All tuition fees (casuals excluded) to be paid prior to the commencement of term 26th May 2025, unless you are enrolling under the early bird promotion whereby all fees are to be finalized in full by 18th May 2025.
Please note, whilst we cannot offer general refunds, for withdrawing from classes due to medical reasons/covid related reasons, we are most happy to transfer to another term for you or discuss an alternative, please just speak with us directly.
