Class: Pop Showgirl Burlesque - Don’t Stop the Party Edition
Class Dates: 7 consecutive weeks commencing 11th August

Get ready to strut, shake, and sparkle in this high-energy showgirl class set to Pitbull’s electrifying hit “Don’t Stop the Party.” Channel your inner pop diva and showgirl glam as we fuse sassy choreography, flirty fun, and bold stage presence into one unforgettable routine. Perfect for all levels, this class is all about confidence, attitude, and owning the spotlight. Heel height optional—fierce vibes required!
*Some costume bits will be supplied by Cora in lieu of the 8th class for the term

Class: Sexy Hip Hop
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 4th August
All Levels

This term we are getting super sassy with a powerful QUEENS megamix! That's right, we'll be embracing our body-ody-odies and feelin' those THICK THIGHS like BEYONCÉ. We'll be makin' good use of our ROACH KILLAZ and gettin' all TOPSY TURVY up in here. So join us as we work towards the September Carnival performance, and lip sync to the bangers like the absolute queens we are!
Students to bring water bottle, wear comfortable clothing to move in, and be prepared to do some floorwork occasionally throughout the term.

TUESDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE
When: 6:30-7:30pm
Teacher: Lydia Grim
Class: Frill Of It - Neo Burlesque
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 5th August
All Levels
Price: $190 Term or $30 per class for casuals
Regal, majestic, slightly silly from too long in the sun. Frillneck lizards, but glam them up and make them camp, and you have the vision for Lydia's latest concoction. With choreography taking interpretation from high fashion photoshoots to showgirl glam, this routine focuses on projecting confidence, even while partaking in lizardy shenanigans.

Suitable for - All genders, this is not an overtly feminine routine. No floor work. As usual for Lydia's classes, characterization rather than technical ability is key!
Track: Walking On A Dream - Empire of the Sun
Costume: Some elements will be supplied by Lydia in class; tops, tails, frills. You will need your own under things, tear away pants*, shoes, to be discussed in class

WEDNESDAY

Class: You Put a Spell on Me - Burlesque
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 6th August

Have a Nylon Swish or Intoxication robe that’s busting at the seams to be seen on stage? The time is now!
Are you ready to make 'em swoon? It's time to get cheeky, bold, and unapologetically fabulous in this flirtatious & fun burlesque term with Tink! We'll dive into the art of tease with a side of sass and a whole lot of sparkle. Think sultry dance moves mixed with that playful, "I know I'm hot!" attitude! Kinda classic, but in a traditional ‘Tink’ way!
*Can be another robe, the noted ones just used as an example of style, however, please feel free to also use this course as an excuse to treat yourself! ;)

Class: Feather Fan Rock
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 6th August

Grab your fans and your attitude—it's time to rock! Set to TGIF by K.Flay, Tink’s high-energy feather fan class blends glam, grit, and just the right amount of chaos. Expect bold struts, hard hits, and fierce femme energy as we channel rebellion, rhythm, and release. No sweet stuff here—just raw, unapologetic fan-flinging power.
Think stilettos on concrete: fierce, sensual, and just a little unhinged. You'll slink, slam, and seduce—with fans as your weapon and attitude as your armor. Let’s strip the rules, flip the script, and fan like we mean it.

Costume: Blacks (think alternative wears), tartan skirt, heels/boots and fishnets.

THURSDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE
When: 6:30-7:30pm

Class: Floored - Mask
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 7th August
All Levels

Move beyond the surface and drop into your raw, unfiltered self. In this floorplay class set to Mask by Josh Pan, we explore what it means to strip away expectations—internal and external—and embody our authentic, ragged humanity. Through grounded movement and intentional release, we invite vulnerability and truth to take center stage.
Think stripper vibes with soul: floorplay and contemporary/modern dance blended movements and a safe space to move from truth, not approval. Come as you are—ragged, real, and ready to unmask.
Track: Mask (With AWAY) by Josh Pan
Costume: will include a mask, costuming to be discussed in week 1 but will be true to your individual style
Bring yourself a water bottle, platform heels, knee pads and wear something comfortable to move in with your shoulders covered (t-shirt).

Teacher: Scarlet Tinkabelle
Class: In the Spotlight
Class Dates: 4 consecutive weeks commencing 7th August
All Levels
Price:$150 for 4 week term - no casuals
Step into the Spotlight and debut a new solo or refine an existing act in this 6 week solo intensive course.
Join Tink this term with 'In The Spotlight' a solo development class aimed at performers wanting to take their performances further or prepare for upcoming competitions.
With Tink’s background in classical dance training, fireplay, sideshow, theatre, production, makeup and a variety of other skillsets, they are able to assist a wider variety of styles for performance.
If you are unsure, please get in touch. We want to make this process as pleasurable as possible for you. Creating should be fun!

Class: Fire Eating Sessions
Class Dates: 4 weeks commencing 4th September (Dates are: 4th Sept, 11th Sept, 25th Sept & 2nd Oct)
Price: $175 for 4 week term - no casuals
Looking to learn the art of Fireplay or looking to increase your fire skills? Learn from Brisbane’s fiery fairy themself!
Sanctioned Fire Queen by Satan’s Angel, Tink has been performing and training in the art of fire fusion with burlesque and dance for over 8 years.
The course will include Fire Eating, live & dead wick pulls, transfers, fleshing & building combinations for fire performance.
Please check the dates as the 4 weeks have a one week break on 18th September.
Fuel & apparatus use is included in the course.
*This is not a performance/routine learning class
PRIVATE LESSONS:
All of The Vaudeville Consortium Teachers are available for you to book for one-on-one coaching tailored to suit your needs! Whether you are wanting to work on an existing act to take it to the next level, begin a new routine or simply wish to hone down on some set skills, our teachers have you covered.
Private Lessons start at just $110 per hour in studio and require booking through TVC - contact us for more info or to arrange with a tutor of your choosing.
Fire performance/privates for all levels and various apparatus are also available upon request.

All tuition fees (casuals excluded) to be paid prior to the commencement of term 4th August 2025, unless you are enrolling under the early bird promotion whereby all fees are to be finalized in full by 25th July 2025.
Please note, whilst we cannot offer general refunds, for withdrawing from classes due to medical reasons/covid related reasons, we are most happy to transfer to another term for you or discuss an alternative, please just speak with us directly.
