What says summer more than sand, sarongs and Shaggy? Turning it into Showgirl sillies with Cora of course!
For our final term of the year we will be mixing up a summery cocktail of our classic Showgirl styling with some smooth reggaeton influence.
During this term you will learn those beautiful showgirl lines and walks you all know and love, but we will tap into Cora's spicy brain full of Latin dance genres to create a fun tropical routine.
Better yet - we are doing it all barefoot!
Grab your togs, slap on your lotion and get those hips moving and grinding to Summertime by Shaggy.

Class: Broadway Jazz

You've had a taste of ClockworkManda's wonderfully silly, Broadway-style Jazz, and clearly, one workshop just wasn't enough! So this time she's bringing you a whole term of fabulousness.
Over this 8-week course, we'll gradually learn and polish the full-length version of Harry Nilsson's Gotta Get Up routine, ready to take to the stage at the end of year carnival.
Didn't join us for the first workshop? No worries - there's no prior knowledge needed in this beginner-friendly course!
Expect big musical energy, cheeky choreography and a bit of theatrical nonsense. It's time to get up and get your Broadway on this silly season!

TUESDAY’S: PADDINGTON PLAY CENTRE

Class: (extra) Frisky Frogs - Back by popular demand
Class Dates: 8 consecutive week full term commencing 20th October

In the depths of the pond a legend is taught to young frogs, that should you return a golden ball to beyond the waters and are offered a kiss in return, you will ascend to royalty. These frisky frogs practise their seduction techniques and their skills with their golden ball(oon)s, so that should they one day get the chance, they'll be ready.
Inspired by the Frog Prince fairytale, this neo burlesque routine focuses on characterisation and energy, suitable for beginners and beyond. Come cool down by the pond this summer, and get your frog on!
Music: Gold - Spandau Ballet
Costume: Green outer layer, gold bikini or underwear, gold pasties, froggy feet.
Props: Gold balloons, balloon pump. While we will each have a balloon or two to play with, we will not be popping them in this routine!

Class: Librarians Gone Wild
Class Dates: 8 consecutive weeks commencing 20th October

It's always the quiet ones that surprise you... They may look shy and bookish, but they know what they want, and it's you. Their favourite genre is secretly smut, and they're real well read, so you better prepare yourself. Ready to let loose and get down and dirty, they're not afraid to let you know exactly what they want.
Librarians Gone Wild is an energetic neo routine. While relatively fast paced, there is a lot of repetition in the choreography, and pauses to catch your breath, so no need to panic. Your costume will feature lots of fringing, so back and forth movements to really get it flicking around for a fun dynamic effect.
Music: Would you...? - Touch and Go
Costume: Buttoned shirt with tie or bow, thick rimmed glasses, dark skirt/pants, black bra and underwear. Fringe belt and sparkly fringing supplied by Lydia for decorating your unders.

WEDNESDAY

Class: December Birthday Blues

A December birthday is its own special tragedy. Overshadowed, overlooked, and perpetually forced to share the spotlight with ‘that other holiday’.
Set to a moody mashup of Summertime Sadness and Pity Party, this class turns your veils into the wrapping paper on the world's most anticlimactic combo present. We'll play with a shoebox, tucking the staves in and swathing it in silk like it's the gift of the century…. because inside, obviously, is just... a pair of socks. One for the birthday nobody remembers. One for the holiday that shall not be named.
Bring your veils, your birthday grievances, and your flair for dramatic self-pity. Cry if you want to — the choreography demands it.
Costume will be party dresses & birthday hats

Tech, Tech, Tech, Tech tech tech….. Everybody! (sung like that ‘shots’ song!)
You want tech, you got it! Over 4 weeks, we’re going to cover a lot!
Come to one, or come to all and learn as much as you can so you can sing into 2026 with some mad new skills!
1st week: Feather Fans
2nd week: Boa
3rd week: Silk Veil Fans
4th week: Flags
Wear comfortable clothing to move in and bring your water bottle along with the prop for the tech session that week.

Looking to learn the art of Fireplay or looking to increase your fire skills? Learn from Brisbane’s fiery fairy themself!
Sanctioned Fire Queen by Satan’s Angel, Tink has been performing and training in the art of fire fusion with burlesque and dance for over 9 years.
The course will include Fire Eating, live & dead wick pulls, transfers, fleshing & building combinations for fire performance.
Fuel & apparatus use is included in the course.

Forget "Santa Baby", this class is giving full sleigh-crash chaos. Think heels choreo dripping in attitude, floorwork that'll leave glitter on the naughty list, all while decked out in Santa masks and Hawaiian shirts because subtlety left the building. It's cheeky, it's ridiculous, it's a little bit filthy….. and it's the most fun you'll have on your knees all season.
Come find your inner beach-bum Santa and learn to work it, wink it, and roll it on the floor like you mean it.

We’re crashing this end of year celebration with pure holiday chaos. Set to the irresistible, iconic 80s anthem “Jump (For My Love)” by the Pointer Sisters. Yes, this is the Hugh Grant dance from Love Actually.
This 8-week act is a Christmas trojan horse. While the rest of the show is burning tinsel and cursing carols, Miss Tickle Allure and her crew will storm the stage to force-feed the audience unhinged holiday cheer.
So, bring your best ugly Christmas sweater, your nativity octopus or your love cue cards and get romantic with us. Because, If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around

All of The Vaudeville Consortium Teachers are available for you to book for one-on-one coaching tailored to suit your needs! Whether you are wanting to work on an existing act to take it to the next level, begin a new routine or simply wish to hone down on some set skills, our teachers have you covered.
Private Lessons start at just $110 per hour in studio and require booking through TVC - contact us for more info or to arrange with a tutor of your choosing.
Fire performance/privates for all levels and various apparatus are also available upon request.

All tuition fees (casuals excluded) to be paid prior to the commencement of term 3rd August 2026, unless you are enrolling under the early bird promotion whereby all fees are to be finalized in full by 30th July 2026.
Please note, whilst we cannot offer general refunds, for withdrawing from classes due to medical reasons/covid related reasons, we are most happy to transfer to another term for you or discuss an alternative, please just speak with us directly.
